Finally, A Lectin-Free Cereal!
So you’re looking for lectin-free cereal? Many cereals contain lectins, even ones that are gluten-free.
Many gluten-free cereals, for example, contain oats, corn, beans, peas, or rice.
There are not too many grains that are considered lectin-free or low in lectins, although some tests have occasionally shown no lectins found in grains.
We have, however, found one for you here!
Arrowhead Mills Puffed Millet Cereal
You can of course, pair your newfound cereal with some lectin-free almond milk! This cereal is low in lectins because it’s made with millet, which has been shown to not contain lectins in multiple tests.
This low lectin cereal is organic puffed millet cereal, so it has a “crunch” to it that you might expect in other tasty cereals, for example, similar perhaps to Kix (made with corn) or Reese’s Puffs cereal (also made with corn).
The brand is Arrowhead Mills, also known for making other grain-based products. The difference is this one is gluten-free and low in lectins!
Since the cereal only contains one ingredient, it contains mostly carbohydrates and is low in protein and fats. Per 1 serving (3/4 cup) it contains 60 calorie with 0g fat, 11g carb, and 2g protein. It also contains 1mg of Calcium and 51mg of Potassium.
If you paired it with 1/2 cup of almond milk, the macronutrients would be around 120 calories, with 5g fat, 13g carbohydrates, and 4g protein. Calcium would increase to about 21mg, with 0.3mg of Iron and 111mg of Potassium.
Lectin-Free Almond Milk
This almond milk is made with blanched almonds (we have confirmed this with the company) so it is therefore considered a low lectin almond milk.
