Paleovalley Bone Broth Protein Review

Paleovalley Bone Broth Protein powder is a heavy-hitter collagen supplement, but is it worth it? I give Paleovalley Bone Broth Protein powder a strong rating, because of the quality, taste, and digestibility. I go into more details and give actual photos and videos below.

Ingredient Quality

The product is very high-quality, because it comes from 100% grass-fed bone broth.

Color

The color of Paleovalley is quite rich in color, looking like an amber brown. This does make sense as the product is made from grass-fed bone broth, which typically has an amber brown color to it.

Shipping Speed Comparison

The shipping was quite fast and arrived at my house just 5 days after I ordered it.

Taste

As far as taste goes, I actually like the taste of this product. I got “unflavored” which just means there are no added flavors, but Paleovalley does have quite a few flavored options if that’s more your style. It has somewhat of a rich taste, similar to the taste of bone broth but much less strong.

It doesn’t taste that great in water, but in my opinion the best way to drink collagen powder is in a smoothie. Here’s a simple smoothie recipe: almond milk, frozen blueberries, and Paleovalley collagen powder (aka exactly what we’re talking about here.) You can even sneak some green vegetables in there if you want.

Cost

You’re getting 1.12 lbs for $38.99 (if you use this link, navigate to the product and pick the subscription) plus $7.95 shipping and handling. If you get 2 containers, you get free shipping and handling. For that you are getting ~30 servings.

So based on serving size, it’s ~$1.30 per serving. You’re getting 15g protein per serving.

With Paleovalley you’re getting higher quality of ingredients than other collagen powders, so you may need less to achieve your goals. I also found it more digestible than other protein powders.

Mixability

I found both to mix reasonably well. I would say Vital Proteins mixes better in water (videos below) than Paleovalley. But inside of a smoothie you can’t tell the difference.

Overall

Bone broth is soothing on the stomach and healing for the gut – that’s what people say right?

This collagen product is made from grass-fed bone broth, with less of the bone brothy flavor and no stinking up your kitchen for 24 hours.
